Physical Form:

Heavy-consistency, translucent white, grease-like silicone paste.

 

Temperature Range:

From -40 to 400 deg.  F

          (-40 to 204 deg. C)

 

Applications:

Lubricating plug, sanitary, gate, ball, butterfly, and automated valves, pump packings, rubber and plastic O-rings; sealing vacuum and pressure systems (especially equiment subjected to washing and harsh environments); damping medium for dash pots in electrical equipment. 1

Works well with automotive industries.

 

80311 Typical Uses:

  • Sealant  for vacuum & pressure systems

  • Sealant for outdoor equipment, including shipboard applications, subjet to washing and harsh environments; meters; electrical service entrance and underground connections
  • Chemical barrier coating
  • Antistick and sealant for transformer gaskets and equipment enclosures, which help prevent gaskets from sticking to meatal and resist weathering and water washout
  • Lubricant for rubber and plastic
  • O-rings. 1
  • Sealant for gaskets and seals
  • Lubricant for water softener and faucet valves
  • Valve stem lubricant for potable water

  • Aircraft vacuum systems
  • Brakelube Lubricant

1-Do not use with silicone elastomers; do not apply to surfaces to be painted. Not recommended for use with highly oxidative chemicals (e.g., liquid chlorine, liquid oxygen); not recommended as a lubricant in metal bearings. Use only with adequate ventilation.

Lubricating and moisture-proofing ignition systems, disconnect junctions, electrical assemblies and terminals, cable connectors and battery terminals; maintaining flexibility of natural and synthetic rubbers, vinyls, plastics, rubber and plastic O-rings. 1

 

80304 Typical Uses:

  • Moisture-proof seal for aircraft, automotive, and marine ignition systems and spark plug connections

  • Waterproof electrical connections.
  • Electrical assemblies and terminals
  • Seal and lubricant for cable connectors, battery terminals, rubber door seals, rubber & plastic O-rings
  • Assembly lubricant for various metal on plastic and metal on rubber combinations
